Mohan Lal Electricals

We’ve been running Mohan Lal Electricals for quite a while now from our spot in South Extension Part II. You can find us over at Masjid Moth, specifically at B 6 209. It’s not a very big shop, but it’s packed with everything you’d expect. Most mornings start with pulling up the metal shutter and seeing the neighborhood wake up. We handle all sorts of small electrical stuff that people need for their homes. It’s a bit dusty on the shelves, and we don't have a fancy showroom, but that’s just how we like it. I remember when we first got the keys. The floor was bare and we had to build all the shelves ourselves. It took us a few weeks just to get the wiring right for our own shop. Now, it feels like we’ve been here forever. The neighborhood knows us. Even the street dogs know when we open the shutter. We don't do any big advertisements or try to sound more important than we are. We just sit here, talk to the locals, and help them find a bulb or a wire that works. The fan hums in the corner all day and sometimes the traffic outside is so loud we have to shout to be heard. It’s a simple way to spend the day. We stay open until the sun goes down and then we head home. Just a regular business doing what it does best without any fuss or corporate nonsense.
