Our place is located at E-727 in the Narela DSIDC Industrial Park which is a massive area. If you have ever visited Narela you know it is just row after row of factories and warehouses. Modlan Polymers (India) Pvt Ltd is right in the middle of all that activity. We work with different kinds of plastic materials known as polymers. The factory floor is where everything actually happens. We have these large machines that process the raw materials into different shapes. It stays quite warm inside the building because of the heat required for the molding process. It is a lot of repetitive tasks like watching the machines and checking that the output looks right. I spend my time walking between the production floor and a very small office space. It is usually quite dusty and the noise is constant. The industrial park has its own specific rhythm with trucks arriving and workers changing shifts. We have to watch our raw material stock very closely because if we run out the whole line stops. I have been working with polymers for many years and it is what I know best. We are not trying to be the biggest factory around just a steady one here in Narela. We usually eat our lunch together in a small corner of the warehouse. It is basic and functional but we get our orders out on time.
