Metro Plastic Industries

Metro Plastic Industries is located in the Shahdara Friends Colony Industrial Area, occupying plots 458 and 466. It is a large enough space for what we do, which is mostly dealing with plastic goods and manufacturing. The area is always busy with small lorries and rickshaws carrying materials. We spend most of our time near the machines or in the small office area where we keep the records. It is not a quiet place. There is always the thud of the presses or the sound of plastic being moved around in crates. We’ve seen this neighborhood change over the years as more units opened up around us. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there; we just want to get the orders done right and on time. The floor is usually covered in scraps that need to be swept up at the end of every shift. We have a small group of workers who have been with us for a long time now. They know the routine better than anyone. Lunchtime is the only time the noise stops for a bit. We don’t have any fancy brochures or a marketing team. If someone needs something made out of plastic, they usually just find us by word of mouth or by seeing our sign in the industrial estate. It’s just simple, practical manufacturing work every single day.
