Matha Offset

Our shop is tucked away at D 118 in the Dda Flats over in Kalkaji. It is not a very big place, but we have managed to fit all our printing equipment inside. Most days, you will hear the constant hum of the offset machines running from early morning until we close up at night. The smell of ink and fresh paper is everywhere, which is something you just get used to after a while. We spend a lot of our time moving heavy stacks of paper around and making sure the colors on the press look right. It is dusty work, and our hands are usually stained with some kind of ink by lunch. Sometimes the neighbors from the flats pop their heads in to ask for a quick copy or just to say hello. We don't have a fancy front office with a receptionist; it is just us working in the back with the machines. When the Delhi heat gets bad, the machines run a bit hot, so we have to keep the fans going at full speed. People come to us for all sorts of things like wedding invites or office forms. We just try to get the orders finished on time without too much fuss. It is a bit loud and a bit messy, but it is what we have been doing for years. We focus on the job and try to keep things moving.
