Maruti Electronics

If you go down Tigri Road in Deoli Village, you’ll find Maruti Electronics. It’s a local shop where we deal with all sorts of gadgets and home appliances. Mostly, people bring us things that have stopped working, like a television that won't turn on or an old radio that has finally given up. The front of the shop is filled with some new items, but the back is where all the real work happens. We have soldering irons and multimeters scattered across the workbench. It’s a bit of a mess with all the tiny screws and spare parts, but we know where everything is kept. The village is always lively, so there’s constant noise from the street coming through the open door. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who know our way around a circuit board. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we know most of the customers by name. We don't do fancy advertising; we just have a board outside that says what we fix. Sometimes a repair is easy and sometimes it takes all night to figure out why a board isn't getting any power. We just like fixing things and seeing them work again. It’s a small life, but it keeps us busy from morning until the lights go out at night and we finally close up shop.
