Mahindra Bank

Mahindra Bank has a spot at B 10 in Geeta Colony, Delhi. If you know East Delhi, you know that Geeta Colony is a place that never really sleeps. Our branch is a modest one, sitting right among the local shops and houses that make up this neighborhood. We don't have a giant glass facade or a revolving door. It is just a solid building where people from the colony come in to handle their banking needs. Inside, it is usually a bit of a squeeze. We have the counters set up with glass partitions, and there is always a line of people waiting, especially in the mornings. The air is filled with the sound of the note-counting machine and people chatting about their day. It gets quite hot in Delhi, so we have the cooling units running full blast most of the year. The walls are covered with a few posters and some calendars. We know a lot of the faces that walk through the door because they have been living in B Block for years. Outside, the street is narrow and full of rickshaws and street food vendors. The smell of frying parathas often wafts inside during the lunch hour. We don't try to be anything special; we just show up, open the gates, and help whoever walks in with their passbooks or cash. It is a very typical Delhi way of doing things, busy and a bit chaotic.
