Madonna Publications

Madonna Publications is located over in Dilshad Colony. We are specifically in Building No 48, G Block, on the 3rd floor in Flat No S 1. It’s a residential-style setup which actually works quite well for the kind of publishing work we do. It stays relatively quiet up here on the third floor, away from the street noise, which helps when you’re trying to read or edit stuff. We have books and papers piled up in different corners of the flat, which is pretty much what you’d expect from a small publisher. The stairs can be a bit of a workout if you’re carrying heavy boxes of prints, but we’re used to that by now. We’ve been in this G Block building for quite a bit. It’s a simple space, just a few rooms where we sit and get the work done. We don’t have a flashy storefront or big signs. Most people who come by are either delivery guys or folks we’ve known for years. Dilshad Colony is a decent place to be based out of, it feels like a real community. We just keep our heads down and keep putting out whatever we’re working on. It’s not glamorous, but it is our livelihood. The flat gets nice light in the afternoons which is good for working and it keeps us motivated to finish our daily tasks and maybe start something new tomorrow for the people who read our books.
