M A Khan Co is located right at Patiala House Courts, room 281. If you’ve ever been to the courts, you know it’s a total maze and always packed with people. Our space is small and usually overflowing with legal files and old books. It’s a fast-paced environment and quite loud most of the time. We aren’t one of those big law firms with mahogany desks and silent hallways. Here, there is always someone coming in to ask a question or a clerk running out to file something before the window closes. We spend our days dealing with the reality of the court system. It can be exhausting and the coffee isn’t great, but it’s where we belong. Most of our work is just staying on top of the hearings and making sure the paperwork is in order. We don't have a fancy website or a PR person. People find us because they’re at the court and they need someone who knows the layout of the place. It’s honest, difficult work that requires a lot of patience. Sometimes we’re there until the lights go out, just prepping for the next day. It’s just the way things are at Patiala House. We keep it practical and focus on the immediate tasks. There is never a dull moment in this building, and we just keep our heads down and work.
