We’ve been at G 139 Ali Vihar for a while now. It’s right near Sarita Vihar in Delhi. Mostly we deal with books and paperwork here at Laxmi Publications. The office is usually full of boxes and stacks of printed materials. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when a new shipment comes in. We start early in the morning and the street outside is always busy with people heading to work. It’s not a fancy place but we get the job done. People drop by to ask about certain titles or just to pick up orders they placed. We have a few desks and a lot of shelves. The air conditioning works okay most days, though it struggles in peak summer. We keep track of everything manually sometimes because it just feels more reliable. If you are looking for us, look for the sign near the main gate. We usually have a lot of tea during the day. It’s just how we run things. Nothing too complicated. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we set up here. Some staff have been around for years, others are newer. We just keep our heads down and handle the publishing work that comes our way. The rain makes the road outside a bit muddy sometimes, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We are here from Monday to Saturday usually. We also spend a lot of time checking proofs and making sure the ink looks right on the paper. It's tedious work but it's what we do.
