We are tucked away in Gali No 2 over in Shastri Nagar, specifically at E 2 20. If you know New Delhi 52, you know how these streets can be—a bit tight and always full of life. Kumar Bhagwad Co has been operating out of this spot for a good while. It’s a small space, but we make it work by stacking things high and keeping the desks close together. You can hear the sounds of the street coming through the walls, children playing or bikes zooming past. It makes the day go by faster than if it were totally silent. We don't have a big corporate sign, just a small one near the entrance so people know they’ve found the right house. Inside, it’s mostly just us and the computers. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day, especially when the weather gets a bit chilly. The files are kept in these old steel cupboards that creak every time you open them. We don’t really have a waiting area, so if someone comes in, they usually just grab a stool and sit near the desk. It’s a very practical setup without any fluff. We focus on getting the work finished so we can get home on time. There’s always something to do, whether it’s checking a ledger or making sure a delivery went where it was supposed to. It’s just a regular neighborhood business doing its thing every day. We’ve grown used to the tight corners and the busy atmosphere of Gali Number 2.
