Kompass Aviation

Our office is tucked away at 23B Sibnarayan Das Lane in Kolkata, care of NN Ghosh. If you know these old lanes in Kolkata, you know they have a lot of character and a lot of history. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren’t looking closely at the doors. Kompass Aviation operates out of this space, which feels a lot more like a home than a corporate headquarters. The walls are thick and the ceilings are high, but the space is crowded with files and old maps. We’ve been here for quite some time now. The street outside is always full of life, with people walking by and the occasional rickshaw bell ringing in the distance. It’s a noisy part of the city, but you get used to the rhythm of it after a while. We don't have a big fancy lobby with glass doors. Instead, you just walk in and you're right there with us. We’re usually busy with paperwork or on the phone, so it can look a bit messy. We don't mind. It shows we’re actually working. We like being in this part of Kolkata because it feels real. There’s no pretense here. We just offer what we can and try to be helpful to anyone who finds their way to our door. It’s a bit of a maze getting here, but we think it’s worth the trip. We just do what we do.
