Kirani Prashad Sharma Interior Decorator

My name is Kirani Prashad Sharma and I do interior decorating work. My place is in Palam Village, right on Palam Road at Vijay Enclave, Rz 29 2. It's a busy part of the village. I have been working with my hands and my eyes for a long time. People think decorating is all about fancy things, but mostly it is about making a space work. My own office is quite cluttered with samples, pieces of wood, and sketches. It is not a showroom. It is a workshop where I think and plan. Palam Road is always noisy with traffic, but once I get inside my space at Vijay Enclave, I can focus. I have a few catalogs that are quite old now, but the ideas in them still work. I don't use a computer for everything. I still like to draw things out on paper with a pencil. It feels more real that way. Sometimes clients come over and we sit among the stacks of tiles and paint chips. There is no fancy sofa to sit on, just some wooden chairs I made myself. My hands are usually a bit dirty from whatever project I am working on. I’ve lived in this part of Palam for years and I know how the houses here are built. I just try to make them look a bit better for the people living in them. It's honest work. I don't take on more than I can handle because I like to do it right. The village life suits my way of working.
