Khushbir Singh

I am usually here at Tis Hazari Main Road K 72 pretty early in the morning before the crowds really start to pick up. Khushbir Singh isn't some big firm with a lot of fancy people in suits. It is just me and a couple of others handling whatever paperwork comes through the door. If you know the area near the courts, you know it gets incredibly loud and dusty by noon. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The office isn't much to look at, just some old desks and stacks of files that seem to grow every single week. People come in looking for help with their legal documents or just to ask questions about where they need to go in the complex. I spend a lot of my time just sorting things out and making sure the names are right on the forms. Sometimes the tea seller comes by and that's the highlight of the morning. It’s a busy life here in Delhi. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. You just walk in and find us. It’s a practical way to work. Most days are spent chasing deadlines or waiting for signatures to get done. The heat in the summer makes the fans rattle like they’re about to fall off the ceiling, but we keep going. It’s just how things are at K 72. We don’t do much advertising because people usually just find us by walking past.
