Kaka Plastic Works

Our place is at C-6/2 in Wazirpur Industrial Area. It is a tight street and sometimes the small trucks get stuck. We work with plastic here. There is always a smell of heating plastic in the air. We have machines that run for hours. Sometimes they break and we have to fix them ourselves. It gets very hot inside during the summer months. We have a few fans but they just move the warm air around. We keep the raw plastic pellets in bags stacked up against the walls. We have to be careful about the scraps on the floor so nobody slips. It is not a very pretty place, just a workspace. We have been at C-6/2 for a long time. The neighbors are also making things, so it is always noisy. We don't have fancy meetings. We just talk while we work. Kaka Plastic Works is just a small outfit. We eat our lunch together in the back. Sometimes customers come by to check on their orders and we show them what we are doing. We don't use big words or anything. We just tell them when it will be ready. The floor is concrete and it has some stains from the oil. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It is what we do. We don't mind the noise and the mess that comes with manufacturing.
