Out here on Ganga Toli Road in Bawana, things are a bit more industrial. At number 864, you’ll find K N Plastic Bhandar. It’s more of a warehouse feel than a regular store. We have stacks of plastic goods piled up high, everything from buckets and bins to industrial containers. The air is often a bit dusty because of all the trucks moving on the dirt roads nearby. We spend a lot of time loading and unloading crates. It is hard work and the sun gets really hot under the tin roof during the summer months. Most of our visitors are people from other businesses or local workers who need supplies for their own shops. We don't really do much retail for individuals, but if someone walks in looking for a single tub, we don't turn them away. I’ve been working here at this Bawana spot for quite some time, and you get used to the noise of the machines and the heavy traffic. We keep a ledger on the main desk to track what goes out and what comes in, mostly because the computer sometimes acts up in the heat. There isn't much decoration in the office, just some old calendars on the wall and a small temple in the corner. It’s a straightforward business where we focus on moving the stock and making sure the inventory is right. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do every day at 864 and it keeps us busy.
