We are located right in the middle of the chaos that is Sadar Bazar. Our shop is number 5274 in Gandhi Market. If you’ve ever been here, you know how packed the lanes get with people and carts. It’s a constant struggle just to move around, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We deal with power-related stuff under the name JSK Power Corporation. Most of our day is spent talking to customers who are looking for specific electrical items or parts. The shop is small and filled to the ceiling with boxes. Sometimes it takes us a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for in the stacks. We don't have a big fancy showroom; it’s just a counter and a lot of stock. The noise from the market is always there, but it’s just part of the atmosphere. We open up the shutters early and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. Most of the other shopkeepers around here are friends. We drink tea together when there's a slow moment. It’s a tough place to work because of the crowd, but we like being where the action is. We just focus on selling what people need and keeping the business going. It’s a simple operation, run by people who know the market inside and out. It gets very loud, but that is just life in Sadar Bazar for us. We just keep our heads down and work.
