Our place is in Ashok Vihar Phase I, specifically at 54 A. It’s a residential-feeling area but we’ve got our interior business running from here. We aren't some big showroom with bright lights and pushy salespeople. It’s more of a workshop and office space where we sit down and look at drawings. We’ve been doing interiors for a good bit now. Most of our tools and samples are scattered around. It might look messy to someone else, but we know where the fabric books and the wood samples are. Being in Delhi, it gets hot, so we’re grateful for the shade around the building. We spend most of our time out at sites, but this is where the planning happens. We don’t go for the high-end corporate look. We’d rather spend the money on better materials for the jobs. You can just walk in and you'll probably find one of us covered in dust or looking at a blueprint. It’s a busy life, but we like it. We know the local tea stall guy and the regulars on the street. It feels like we are part of the neighborhood here. Sometimes clients come over to look at samples and we end up just chatting about the house for hours. We don't use fancy jargon or try to sound smarter than we are. We just know what works in a room. It's a simple way to run a business and it keeps us busy. There’s always another project around the corner and we keep plugging away at them. No frills.
