If you know Karol Bagh, you know how crowded Gurudwara Road gets. Our shop is number 2192. It’s a small place, tucked between a lot of other shops. We’ve been here for a long time. People bring their things to us because they know we’ve seen it all. We don't have a big glass front or bright neon signs. It’s a simple counter and some old chairs for people to sit while they wait. The street outside is always full of people and rickshaws. Sometimes the noise is so loud we have to shout a bit. We use the same tools we’ve had for years. They work fine, so there’s no need to change them. We don't do flashy marketing. Most people come to us because their parents or grandparents did. It’s a trust thing in this neighborhood. We spend our days looking at small details through a lens. It can be tiring for the eyes. We take breaks to drink cold water from the earthen pot in the corner. We don't have a website or anything like that. Just the shop on Gurudwara Road. If you need us, you just walk in. We might be busy with someone else, so you might have to wait a bit. That’s just how it is in Karol Bagh. We do our best to be fair with everyone. It’s a quiet life inside the shop, despite the chaos outside. We wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
