Our office is tucked away in Sakarpur, specifically at U 97 here in New Delhi. It is a busy area and finding a parking spot can be a real headache sometimes, but we like being where the action is. Inside, things are usually moving fast. We have stacks of resumes and files that seem to grow every week. We try to stay organized but it is a lot of work. Most of the time, we are on the phone or responding to messages. It’s not a glamorous job, just a lot of steady effort to help people find their way. The lights flicker once in a while and the printer has a mind of its own, but we manage. We’ve been at this for a while and have seen many people come and go through these doors. Some stay for a long chat and others are in a rush. We take it as it comes. It feels like a small community here in Sakarpur and we are glad to be a part of it. We don’t have any fancy posters on the walls or expensive furniture. It’s just a place to work and help out where we can. We keep the tea kettle going and just focus on the next person who needs our help. It gets loud outside with the Delhi traffic, but once you’re inside, we just focus on the papers in front of us.
