Jeevan Prakash

Jeevan Prakash is located at number 88 in the Patiala House Courts complex. If you have ever been to the courts, you know how hectic it can get with all the lawyers and people rushing around. Our space is small but it is right in the middle of everything. We spend our days dealing with paperwork and helping out with the various bits and pieces that people need when they are visiting the court. It is a lot of typing and looking through files. The walls are lined with old folders and books that have seen better days. We don't have much time for small talk because there is always a deadline or someone waiting for a document. It’s noisy outside with the typists and the tea stalls, but we are used to it by now. The air is thick with the smell of old paper and ink. We keep the lights on late sometimes when the court sessions run long. It isn't a fancy law office with leather chairs. It is a working room where we get things processed. Most people who come to see us are in a hurry, so we try to be quick with what they need. We’ve been at Patiala House for a long time and have seen the faces change over the years. We just keep doing our part in the daily grind.
