Working in real estate around Vasant Vihar and Vasant Kunj keeps us on our feet quite a bit. These are busy parts of Delhi, and there is always something happening with properties here. We don't have a massive office with glass walls or anything like that. Instead, we have a small place where we keep track of which houses are available and who is looking to move. Much of our time is spent driving between these two neighborhoods, meeting people at various gates and showing them around different flats or plots. The weather in Delhi can be tough, especially in the peak of summer, but we still go out because people want to see places during their lunch breaks. We know these streets pretty well by now. We don't promise anyone that they will find their dream home in five minutes because that isn't how things work. It takes time to find the right fit. We just listen to what people say they need and then look through our lists. Sometimes we find a match quickly, and other times it takes weeks of looking. We are honest about the state of the buildings and the traffic in the area. Our desks are usually covered in maps and scribbled notes about phone numbers. There’s a stray dog that hangs around the door and we usually give him some biscuits in the evening. It’s a straightforward way of doing things without any of the fluff.
