J P Dhanda is situated right on Parliament Street. It’s a very famous stretch of road, as everyone probably knows. We’ve been here for a long time, watching the world go by from our office windows. Being in this part of town means there’s always something happening outside, whether it's a protest or just a lot of traffic. There are lots of big, important buildings around us, but we try to keep our own place feeling a bit more personal and human. We aren’t a huge firm with layers of management and bosses. It’s just us. We handle our daily tasks without much fuss or noise. We don’t really believe in those long corporate meetings that don't ever go anywhere. We’d rather just get the work done and be finished with it. The atmosphere on Parliament Street can be a bit formal, but inside our doors, we keep it pretty relaxed for everyone. We talk to people plainly and don’t use a lot of technical jargon if we can avoid it. It’s just about being straightforward with whoever walks in. We’ve seen many businesses come and go on this street, but we’ve managed to stick around. It’s not because we have some secret plan. We just show up and do what we’re supposed to do. It’s a busy life, but it’s a good one for us. We’re just regular people working in a well-known location.
