We spend most of our time here in Madangir Virat Market dealing with batteries that just gave up. It gets pretty busy around Dakshin Puri 40 when the power goes out and people realize their inverter isn't working like it should. We've been at this spot for a good while now. Most days it's just us checking voltages or cleaning up terminals so things run right again. Sometimes the shop gets a bit messy with all the old battery casings sitting around, but that's just how it goes in this line of work. It’s a small place, nothing fancy at all. If you walk past Virat Market, you’ll see us there with the heavy lifting and the grease. We handle the car batteries too, which can be a real pain when they're stuck in a tight spot. We don't have a big office or anything like that, just the counter and the tools we need to get through the day. The summer months are definitely the hardest because everyone is worried about their backup power failing when it’s hot. We just try to get things sorted so people can go back to their homes with a working battery. It's regular work, really. Nothing complicated, just heavy lifting and making sure the connections are tight. We know most of the people who come in by their first names now since they've lived in this part of Delhi for years.
