Interior Decorators

Interior Decorators is based out of Raghubir Nagar, specifically at R 912. It’s a pretty standard residential-style block, so the shop feels more like a part of the neighborhood than a big corporate office. We’ve been operating from R 912 for a good bit of time now, and we’ve seen the area change a lot. Most days involve a lot of measuring and re-measuring because you can’t ever be too sure about these things once the work starts. The space inside our shop is mostly filled with catalogs and different types of tiles or wood chips we’ve collected over the years from different jobs. It isn’t the most organized place in the world, but we know exactly where everything is when we need it. The morning routine is almost always the same—get the lights on, check the phone messages, and see which site we need to head to first. Raghubir Nagar is a lively area, and there’s always something happening right outside the door, which keeps things interesting. We aren’t really into the whole high-pressure sales thing that you see elsewhere. If someone stops by R 912, we just show them what we’ve got and talk through what might work for their specific house. Sometimes we spend hours just debating over a specific shade of paint or a type of hinge. It’s a lot of manual work and coordination with different laborers. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know the trade well. It is a simple, honest way to work.
