Interior Decorators

We have been running Interior Decorators out of Neb Sarai for a while now. If you head over to Zalidar Market, you’ll find us at Shop No 3. It isn't a massive place, just a regular shop where we keep all our samples and catalogs for people to look at. Most mornings start with unlocking the metal shutters and sweeping out the dust that inevitably blows in from the market street overnight. It gets pretty busy around here, especially in the late afternoons when everyone is out doing their daily shopping. We spend a lot of our time on the phone with various suppliers or just staring at floor plans spread across the main desk. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped because of all the fabric swatches and wood pieces we have laying around on the chairs, but that is just how it is in a working shop. People from the neighborhood usually just walk in if they have a quick question about a room they want to fix up. We don't have fancy displays or those bright lights you see in malls. It is just a practical workspace where we figure out what goes where. Usually, there is a cup of tea sitting somewhere getting cold because we got distracted by a new sketch. Living and working around Neb Sarai means we know the local layout and the types of houses here pretty well. It’s a simple setup at Shop No 3, nothing too formal. We show up every day, do the work, and try to keep things moving.
