Integrated Research And Action For Development is located at 50 A in the DDA Flats of Phase II, Katwaria Sarai, New Delhi. If you’ve been to Katwaria Sarai, you know it’s a place where a lot of students and researchers live. Our office is in one of those standard DDA flats. It’s not a huge space, but it’s full of books, reports, and papers. We’ve been here for many years. We do research and look at how things can be improved for development. It sounds like a big job, but mostly it’s just us sitting around a table discussing data and writing things down. We aren't a corporate giant. We are more like a group of people who care about facts. The flat is a bit lived-in. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy with our work to worry about that. We have a small pantry where we make a lot of tea. Delhi is always humming with noise, but inside the flat, it’s usually quiet enough to think. We don't have any fancy marketing materials or a polished image. We just go by our name, Integrated Research and Action for Development, and do the work that needs to be done. It’s a practical way of working. We enjoy the neighborhood because it feels real and grounded. It’s a good place for the kind of thinking we do every day.
