Our branch is situated at G 1 5 in Model Town III, Delhi. It is a fairly well-known part of town, though the traffic around the main intersections can be a real pain during rush hour. The office is on the ground floor, so it is easy for people to just pop in when they are out doing their errands. Inside, it’s a pretty standard setup with a few counters and some desks for the staff. We don’t have any high-end furniture or flashy decor. It is just a place where we sit and handle the daily banking transactions for the neighborhood. We spend a lot of time typing into our systems and filing away various forms. Sometimes the power goes out, which is pretty common around here, and we have to wait for the backup to kick in so we can get back to work. It can be a bit frustrating, but we just deal with it. We see a lot of regular faces from the nearby houses and shops. Most of the people who come in just want to get their business done quickly. We try to be helpful and straightforward without making things more complicated than they need to be. It’s a steady, predictable kind of job. When the day is over, we tidy up our desks, shut down the computers, and head home like everyone else in the city.
