Our office is located at 58 A in the BC Block of Shalimar Bagh East. If you’re familiar with North Delhi, you know this area is pretty crowded but has everything you need nearby. We’ve been operating Indus Franchise And Retail Consultancy from this spot for some time now. The office is tucked away in a residential building, which gives it a more personal feel than being in a massive shopping mall or a glass tower. We have a couple of desks pushed together and a shelf full of retail books and old catalogs that we occasionally flip through. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re too busy with phone calls and meetings to worry about that right now. In the afternoons, you can hear the sounds of the neighborhood coming through the windows, people selling vegetables or neighbors chatting. It’s a real place where real things happen. We spend a lot of time talking to folks about their businesses, trying to figure out how to make things work better in the retail world. We don't use a lot of big words or complicated charts. It’s mostly just sitting down and having a conversation. The tea guy comes by around four, and that’s usually the highlight of our day. Being here in New Delhi 88, we feel connected to the local market and the people who run it. It’s just us, doing our thing.
