Indian Council For Market Research

Our office is over at L 9D in Saket, right in the heart of New Delhi. It’s a decent-sized space where we run the Indian Council For Market Research. We’ve been here for a while now, and we’ve seen Saket change quite a bit around us. Most of what we do involves looking at numbers and talking to people about what they like to buy. It’s not as exciting as it sounds to some, but we find it interesting enough. The office is pretty basic—just desks, phones, and a lot of computers. We don’t have a fancy lobby with a receptionist. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just opens it when someone knocks. We’re a small team, and we all pitch in with everything, from cleaning up the break room to finishing a big report. Being in New Delhi means it’s always busy outside, and finding a parking spot near L 9D can be a real pain some days. We try to keep our language simple when we talk to clients because nobody likes that corporate jargon anyway. We just tell it like it is. If the data looks a certain way, that’s what we report. There’s no point in sugarcoating things. It’s a lot of hard work, but we’ve been doing it long enough that we have a good rhythm now.
