You can find us over at Azad Apartment on Street No 28 in Tughlakabad Extension. Being in New Delhi means it’s always a bit noisy outside, but we’ve gotten used to the sound of the traffic and the local markets. Our Hsbc team is a small group of people who just live and work in the area. We don't try to sound like a big bank even though the name is on the door. It’s mostly just us sitting at our desks, handling the daily bank stuff that comes our way. Sometimes the internet is slow or a printer jams, and we have to fix it while someone is waiting. That’s just how it goes in a real office. We know the regular faces who come in from around the apartments and the nearby streets. We talk about the weather or the local news while we wait for screens to load. There’s no big manual on how to be perfect, we just try to be helpful and honest about what we can do. Some days are packed with meetings, and other days it’s just us catching up on emails. We don't have any grand statements to make. We are just here to help manage things and keep the records straight. It’s a practical kind of job, and we take it one day at a time. The office is simple, with enough light and enough tea to keep everyone moving along until closing time.
