We have a small office in Pandav Nagar, at C 82. It’s right in the middle of a residential area so it feels quiet compared to the main roads of New Delhi. Mostly we spend the day talking to people who have questions about their jobs. Small business owners come by when they don't know how to write a contract or if they're having trouble with an employee. We just sit down and figure it out together. It’s not a big corporate thing. Sometimes it's just about explaining the rules so everyone is on the same page. We deal with a lot of local shops and small companies around here. The office is small and we’ve got papers everywhere, but we know where everything is. People call us up to ask about labor laws or what to do if someone quits without notice. We give them some advice and help them file the right papers. It’s been a few years since we started doing this in this neighborhood. We know most of the people who live around here. It's simple work but it keeps us busy every day. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything, just a couple of chairs for visitors. We try to keep things straightforward and honest. If someone needs a handbook written up, we can do that for them without any fuss. It's just about making sure the work side of things goes smoothly for everyone involved. We just take things as they come and help where we can.
