We work out of a small place in Palam Colony, specifically Gali Number 2 at 131/5 A. Our main thing is stabilizers. In this part of Delhi, the electricity can be a bit jumpy and the voltage fluctuates a lot, so people always need something to protect their fridges or air conditioners from burning out. We spend our time fixing old units or putting new ones together for the local market. It’s a lot of copper wire, transformers, and circuit boards lying around the workbench most days. We aren't a big factory with machines, just a local shop where we know how the insides of these machines work. Sometimes someone brings in an old one that stopped working after a big storm or a power surge. We take a look and see if it can be saved by replacing a few parts. It’s a bit dusty in here with all the parts and the metal casings, but that’s how it is. My family has been around Palam for a long time. We mostly get customers from the nearby streets who just walk in with their heavy equipment under their arm. We don't have a receptionist or any fancy desk, you just come in and talk to whoever is working at the back. It’s honest work and it keeps the lights on for us. We try to make sure the soldering is solid so the stabilizer lasts.
