Hiba Nursing Home

Hiba Nursing Home is located right in the middle of the Okhla Main Bazar in Jamia Nagar. If you know the area, you know how crowded and lively the bazar gets, especially in the evenings. Our building is 123 2B and we share the space with Dr Faran Shamsi and S N A Jafri. It is a very busy spot in New Delhi 25. People are always coming and going through the main doors. Inside, we try to keep things as calm as possible despite the noise from the market outside. We have rooms for patients and a small area where people wait to see the doctor. It is not a giant hospital with hundreds of beds, but a local nursing home that serves the people living around Jamia Nagar. Every day is different here; some days are quiet and other days we are on our feet from start to finish. We deal with all the usual things you would expect in a medical setting, like checking vitals and talking to families. The hallways are a bit tight and we have to manage the space carefully. Sometimes the delivery vans for the market block the entrance for a few minutes, but we manage. We’ve been part of this neighborhood for a long time. It is a practical place where the focus is just on taking care of the patients who walk through our door. No fancy carpets or art on the walls, just a clean place to work.
