Hb Infrastructure Pvt Ltd is tucked away in the basement at Ansari Nagar Basement A1 265. It might seem like a strange place for a company, but it stays cool down there even when it’s boiling outside. We spend most of our time looking at plans and talking on the phone with crews out at different sites. The walls are covered in maps and schedules that we try to keep updated with markers. It’s a bit chaotic sometimes, with people coming in and out with muddy boots and rolled-up papers. We don’t have a fancy entrance or a sign that lights up. Most of our work happens out in the field, so this office is just where we coordinate everything and keep the records. We have a small kettle for making coffee and a fridge that’s usually full of water bottles. It’s not a glamorous job. There’s a lot of talk about concrete, steel, and permits. Sometimes the internet goes out and we have to wait around for it to come back so we can send emails. We’ve been at this address for a few years now and it works for us. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a shiny building. We just want to get the projects finished so we can move on to the next one. Our desks are usually buried under blueprints and empty cups.
