Hawan Puja

We are located near the Jangpura Extension Arya Samaj Mandir Link Road. Hawan Puja is a small operation, mostly run by a few of us who have lived in this neighborhood for years. The shop is filled with all the items people need for their daily ceremonies and special occasions. It smells like incense and dried flowers most of the time, which is quite pleasant compared to the traffic outside. We spend our mornings setting things out and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to stock a little bit of everything. We often have people stopping by just to chat for a few minutes while they pick up their supplies. We aren't a big chain store or anything. We know most of the people who walk through our door by their first names. Sometimes the deliveries are late and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow, which is never fun, but they usually understand. We just try to provide what the community needs for their traditions. The bell on the door rings all day long. It’s a simple life and we enjoy being part of the local rhythm. We aren't looking to expand or do anything flashy. We just stay open and wait for the next person to come in.
