Hans Publications

We have been running Hans Publications for quite a few years now from our shop at Palam Colony 632. It’s a busy little place, usually packed to the ceiling with bundles of paper and the distinct smell of printing ink everywhere. We handle a lot of different types of work, from small local newsletters to some larger projects that take up all our table space. It’s not a very big office, so we’ve had to learn how to stack things just right so we can still move around. We aren't one of those massive publishing houses with hundreds of people; it’s mostly just us making sure the machines are running and the pages are coming out right. Palam is a noisy neighborhood, and we can always hear the traffic and people outside while we’re trying to work. We have some older equipment that still does a better job than the new stuff sometimes, as long as we treat it right. Local students and writers often drop by to see how their work is coming along. We try to get things done on time, even if it means staying late and eating dinner at our desks. It’s a steady kind of life, and we like being the ones who help people get their words into print. The shop at 632 might be a bit cluttered, but it’s home to us.
