Hamara Samaj

Our place is at Shop No CW 551 in Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar. If you know the area, you know it's full of trucks and people moving things around all day. It gets quite dusty and loud with all the engines and the loading going on. We are just one of the many shops lined up here. It’s a practical location for us. We don't have fancy furniture or a big lobby. It’s just a shop where we handle our business for Hamara Samaj. Most days start early because the transport nagar is always awake. You see a lot of different faces coming through this part of town. The shop itself is a bit small but it fits what we need. We've got our stuff organized as best as we can. It’s not the quietest place to be, but it feels real. We are surrounded by other businesses doing their own thing. Sometimes we talk to the neighbors when it's slow. There’s a tea stall just a few doors down where we get our morning chai. The guy there knows how we like it. The air in Transport Nagar always smells a bit like diesel and old tires. It’s just the smell of people getting things done. Our shop door sticks a bit when it's humid, so you have to give it a good push. Inside, we have some old calendars on the walls and a stack of ledgers that we still use. We don't use a lot of fancy software for everything. Sometimes the old ways are just simpler for what we do here. It's a grit and grime kind of place, but it's ours.
