H C R A is located at NW 183 in Vishnu Garden, New Delhi. This neighborhood is quite tight-knit and there are shops everywhere you look. People are always moving around outside. Our place is part of that local fabric. It is not a shiny new building. It is an older structure that has been through many Delhi summers and cold winters. Inside, the office feels very lived-in. We have some old wooden chairs and a desk that has seen better days, but it serves us just fine for what we do. We do a lot of community-related work here, so the door is often left open for neighbors to walk in. There is always someone stopping by to chat or ask for some help with something. We do not have a big marketing budget or any glossy brochures to hand out. Everything we do is based on people knowing us from around the area for a long time. Some days it is very noisy outside with the traffic and the street vendors, but we have learned to just talk a bit louder. We keep things very simple here. There is no boss in a big private office; we all just sit together and figure out what needs to be done for the day. It is a bit messy sometimes, with papers and flyers piled up, but we manage somehow. We have been in Vishnu Garden for years and we do not plan on moving.
