Gupta Emporium

Our shop, Gupta Emporium, is located at F 53 in Madhu Vihar. We are quite close to Gurudwara Road, which is a landmark most people in the neighborhood use to find their way around. It’s a busy little pocket of the city. There’s always someone shouting or a horn honking outside on the street. We’ve been at this F 53 address for a long time, and we’ve become a part of the local scenery. The emporium isn't a big department store; it’s more of a traditional local shop where things are stacked up on shelves. It can be a little cramped inside when more than three people are standing there, but we make it work. We don't use any fancy sales tactics. People come in, look at what we have, and we talk to them like normal human beings. There’s no script or anything. We know many of our customers by their first names because they’ve been coming here for years. Living and working near Gurudwara Road means we see the Sunday crowds and the holiday rushes. It keeps us on our toes. We don't have a big website or a social media page. We just have this physical store where we show up every day. It’s an honest way to make a living, and we plan to stay right here in Madhu Vihar for the foreseeable future. There is something nice about being a steady part of people's daily walk to the temple or the market.
