Grolier International

Our office is at 63 M Cpwd Quarters in Vasant Vihar, New Delhi. It’s a government housing area, so the buildings all have that same functional look that you see across the capital. Working out of the CPWD Quarters means we are right in the middle of a busy residential zone, but it’s surprisingly tucked away from the main road noise. Grolier International has been using this space for a while now to manage our local affairs. It’s not a fancy glass office in a business park; it’s more of a lived-in space where work happens among the everyday lives of the people here. We spend our days sorting through documents and taking calls, often with the sound of the neighborhood in the background. Vasant Vihar is a well-known spot, so people usually don't have much trouble finding us once they get into the right block of quarters. The rooms are basic but they stay cool enough in the summer if we keep the blinds down. We don’t have a big team here, just a few of us who know the ropes and get along well. We usually eat lunch together and talk about things other than work. It’s a relaxed way to get through the day in a city that is usually anything but relaxed. We don't try to impress anyone with the office, we just make sure the tasks get finished on time and the day-to-day things are kept in order before we lock up.
