Working out of 22 Tapti inside the JNU campus in New Delhi is a bit different from your usual office job. We are part of the Govt Of India, but being inside a university like this gives the place a specific kind of energy. You see students walking by all day and there is always some kind of discussion happening nearby. Our space is small and honestly a bit tucked away, so if you don't know the campus well, you might get a little lost trying to find us. New Delhi is always busy, but once you get inside the gates here, things slow down just a tiny bit. We spend our days mostly handling records and dealing with whatever comes across our desks. There isn't any fancy furniture here, just the basics like chairs and tables that have seen better days. It gets pretty dusty, so we are always cleaning off the monitors. We don't have a big corporate team; it’s just a few of us making sure things don't pile up too high. Lunch is usually whatever we brought from home or something quick from the nearby canteen. It’s not the most modern setup you’ll ever see, but it works for what we need to do. We just keep our heads down and get the work done, one day at a time. The trees outside provide some nice shade when it gets really hot in June and the monkeys sometimes hang around too.
