We are located at B 58 in South Extension II, which is a pretty well-known area in New Delhi. It can get very crowded with all the shops and people around, but our little office stays tucked away from the main noise. Working for the Govt Of India here means there is always something to do, usually involving a lot of documentation. The building is an older style, typical for this part of the city. Inside, it’s mostly just desks, chairs, and stacks of files that have been around for years. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. You just walk in and see people working. The lighting could be better, and the wiring is a bit of a mess in the corners, but it works for what we need. We spend our days processing whatever comes across our desks. There’s a tea vendor down the street that we all rely on. Sometimes the traffic in South Ext makes getting here a bit of a headache, but we’re used to it by now. It’s a functional, no-nonsense kind of place. We don’t spend money on decor or anything that isn't necessary for the job. It’s just a group of us trying to keep things organized and making sure the records are updated. It feels very much like a local neighborhood office where everyone knows the routine and sticks to it.
