Our office is located in Silchar, Assam, right on the National Highway in Udayachal Lane. We are set up at C O Santosh Ch Paul’s place. It is a bit of a trek for some people to get here, but being near the highway makes it easier for transport and moving around. Goto Customer Services India Pvt Ltd is not a massive call center like you see in the movies. We are a smaller team working out of this space. It is pretty simple inside with just computers, headsets, and some notebooks scattered around. The weather in Assam can be very unpredictable, so we have had our share of rainy days where the roof makes a lot of noise. We just keep working through it. We are not a corporate giant with a thousand rules and regulations. We just try to answer the calls and help out as best as we can. It is a lot of sitting and talking, which can be tiring by the afternoon, but it is our job. We do not have a cafeteria or anything like that; we usually just bring our own tiffins or go to the small shop nearby for a snack. The lane is usually quiet except for the sound of the trucks passing by on the highway. We have been here for a while and the neighbors are friendly. It is not a fancy setup, but it is our business.
