Global Embroideries

Our shop is down in the Okhla Industrial Estate, specifically at F 33 6 in Phase 2. If you’ve ever been to Okhla, you know it’s a place where things actually get made. There’s always the sound of machines and trucks moving around. We do embroidery work here. It’s dusty and noisy, and there’s always thread and scraps of fabric on the floor no matter how many times we sweep. We don't have a fancy showroom. If you come to see us, you’re going to see the actual work happening right there. We spend our days watching the needles move and making sure the patterns look right. It’s hard on the eyes sometimes, so we take plenty of breaks to walk outside and get some air. We have a few big machines that take up most of the space, so we have to squeeze past each other to get to the back. It’s not the most comfortable place, but it’s where the work happens. We’ve been here in Phase 2 for a long time, and we know the other guys running shops nearby. We help each other out when someone runs out of supplies. We aren't a big factory; we’re just a small outfit doing our best to get the orders out on time. It’s practical work, and we take it one day at a time. Sometimes things break down and we have to fix them ourselves.
