My office is at room 316 inside the Supreme Court of India on Sansad Marg. It is a very busy place to be every day. The hallways are always full of people rushing around with black robes and piles of files. Inside my room, it is mostly just stacks of paper and books everywhere you look. There is always a lot of reading to do and things to prepare. Sansad Marg is a high-security area, so getting in and out takes some time with all the checks. The noise from the street is blocked out by the thick walls of the building, but you can still feel the energy of the city right outside. I spend a lot of hours sitting at the desk, sometimes late into the evening. It is not a place for relaxation. There is a lot of pressure, and the work is very serious. I try to keep things as organized as I can, but with so many cases, the paperwork seems to have a life of its own. It is a historic building, and working here feels very different from a standard office block. I usually grab a quick tea or coffee from the canteen when I can get a break. It is a demanding environment, but it is just what I do. There are no frills here, just the law and a lot of hard work. It is a very specific kind of life, being based right at the center of the court.
