General Plastics Industries

You can find General Plastics Industries at number 67 in Rajasthani Udyog Nagar, right off G T Karnal Road. This is an industrial area, so there’s always trucks moving around and the sound of machines in the background. Our place is basically a factory floor with some office space carved out in the corner. We make and handle a lot of plastic components here. It’s noisy and can get pretty warm when the machines are running all day, but that’s just the nature of the work. We started out with just a couple of machines and have slowly added more over the years as things progressed. The people working here are mostly from the nearby neighborhoods, and we’ve all grown used to the grease and the smell of raw plastic. We don't put on any airs about what we do. It’s industrial manufacturing, plain and simple. We focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the batches are finished on time. The office doesn't have much besides a few chairs and a lot of technical drawings. We spend most of our time out on the floor anyway. It’s a practical way to earn a living, and being on G T Karnal Road makes it easy for the trucks to get in and out. We don’t need any big posters or fancy signs to tell people who we are; the work speaks for itself.
