Garg Plastics

Kanti Nagar Main Road is where you’ll find us, specifically at A 47. It’s a pretty standard street, always a bit of dust in the air and the sound of trucks passing by. Our place, Garg Plastics, is basically a big room full of different plastic items. We have bins, buckets, and all sorts of household things stacked up high. Sometimes it feels like the ceiling isn’t high enough for everything we want to keep in stock. It’s a bit of a maze inside, and you have to be careful not to knock anything over when you’re walking to the back office. The air inside always smells a bit like new plastic, which I’ve grown to like over the years. We aren't fancy people. We just show up, open the heavy metal shutters, and start moving stock around. Most of our customers are locals who have been coming here for a long time. We have a small desk with a calculator that’s missing the equals button, but it still works if you press it hard enough. It gets quite hot in the summer because the fans don’t do much against the Delhi heat, but we just drink a lot of water and keep going. It’s just a business like any other on this road, trying to keep things organized and making sure we have what people need when they ask for it. There is always a lot to do before we can head home.
