French Embassy

We are situated at C 8 44 in Rohini, Delhi 85. It’s a bit away from the main diplomatic areas, but this is where we do our work. This office handles various things for the French Embassy. We deal with a lot of people coming in for different reasons. It might be papers, it might be questions about travel, or just general help. The building is standard for Rohini. We have our desks set up and we try to get through the files as they come. There is always a lot of paperwork to go through. People think an embassy office is all fancy events, but here it is mostly just office work. We sit under the fans and type out reports or check applications. The neighborhood is busy, and parking can be a real headache near C 8. We’ve had people get lost trying to find the exact house number, so we tell them to look closely at the block numbers. It is a quiet street mostly, until the afternoon rush. We don't have a big cafeteria or anything. We usually just bring our lunch or get something from the local shops. It is a straightforward operation. We have our hours and we stick to them. Most of the time we are just focused on making sure the documents are correct. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do here in this part of Delhi. We just try to keep things moving as steadily as possible for everyone.
