Freelance

Our little workspace is tucked away in C R Park at B 306. If you know New Delhi 19, you know it’s a lively place with a lot of character. We’ve been here for a bit, running Freelance out of this third-floor spot. There isn't an elevator, so we get plenty of exercise going up and down the stairs every day. The office itself is pretty basic. We have a few desks, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of cords running across the floor. It’s not the most modern looking place, but it gets the job done. We like the vibe of the neighborhood, especially the markets nearby where we grab lunch. Sometimes the traffic outside can be a bit much, but once you’re inside, it’s mostly just the sound of typing. We handle a variety of tasks here, depending on what comes in. It’s a small operation, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything. There’s no department for this or that; we just talk to each other across the room. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or high-end furniture. Most of our stuff is second-hand or just things we brought from home. It works for us. We aren't looking to move anytime soon because the location is just too convenient. It feels like a real part of the community here in South Delhi. Most of our neighbors know us and stop to chat when we go out.
