Fineman Consulting Pvt Ltd is located in Shillong, up in Meghalaya. We operate out of Rawat Cottage in Upper Mawprem. Shillong is a beautiful place with its hills, but working here is quite different than in the big mainland cities. The weather is often rainy and cold for many months, so we spend a lot of time inside the cottage getting our consulting work done. Rawat Cottage is an old-style place that feels more like a cozy home than a formal office. We like it that way because it’s quiet and allows us to focus on the problems we are trying to solve for people. Upper Mawprem has some steep roads and a lot of local character. We don't have a big corporate sign or a fancy lobby with a security guard. Usually, we just meet people in our small office room or talk things over the phone. Being in Meghalaya means things move a bit slower sometimes, which is actually pretty good for thinking things through carefully. We don't use much in the way of marketing or advertising; people mostly find us through the local network and word of mouth. We just try to give sensible, practical advice and keep our records as straight as possible. It’s a small operation with just a few of us on staff. We have our tea, watch the clouds roll over the hills outside, and do our work. It’s a simple, practical life here at the cottage. We are just local people trying to help.
